Learn the best way to buy and advance widgets in Kingshot. Widgets are undeniably one of the most powerful items. Their strength comes from how they calculate stats—widget stat gains are multiplicative.
Why are Widgets so Powerful?
A maxed-out widget (+10) gives a 15% bonus to stats. Because this is multiplicative, a base stat of 1,000% will increase to 1,150%, instead of a mere 1,015%. This immense scaling makes widgets a priority.
Offensive vs Defensive Widgets
Offensive Widgets:
- The multiplicative bonus is only used when leading rallies.
- Hidden Strategy: If you call a one-man rally, the offensive widget's multiplicative bonus will still apply!
Defensive Widgets:
- The multiplicative bonus is activated when defending a building or defending solo.
- The game heavily favors the defensive side for this reason.
For medium spenders, it is generally much better to invest in defensive widgets. By doing so, whales cannot simply attack your Town Center (TC) without taking heavy casualties.
